My Very Loud Burda Easy Trousers

Now that Autumn is here, I am looking to sew some wardrobe fillers. Some for snuggling up on the sofa and some for my work wardrobe. These trousers are great for both. This is a short and sweet post, because these really were that easy to sew.

I subscribe to the Burdastyle and the Burda Easy magazines. If you are after very specific styles, you can look for back copies on Ebay. If you want to buy this magazine, you can get it here on Ebay, its the Burda Easy 05/2022.

This pattern went together so well, that I fully intend to sew a few more. I might even do a batch. This was traced, cut and sewn in an afternoon. Such a satisfying project. I sewed pattern 3A. They are so comfy and are just the right length to wear with boots.

This pair has an elasticated waistband, which doesn't bunch up when you're wearing it.

This was my first attempt at pattern matching on trousers. The last time I pattern-matched was for my scuba hoodie made from the Stella Hoodie pattern.

The bonus with Burda Easy, is that the patterns are printed on one side and they are not printed overlapping, so they are really easy to trace out.

Just don't forget to add a 1.5cm seam allowance, as Burda does not include a seam allowance in their magazine patterns.

Make sure you copy all the marks for matching up patterns, and you really can't go wrong.

This is a lovely easy pattern that will make you fall in love with your overlocker, I definitely recommend it if you are a beginner sewer.
